The teaching staff at Mary Immaculate strive to provide learning experiences that accommodate the range of learning styles and abilities of each student. Students participate in hands on learning, creative, rich and challenging tasks interchangeably throughout the school day.
Students are engaged in quality learning and teaching experiences. They are challenged and encouraged at their own levels of capability, by flexible learning experiences of modelled, guided and independent learning. Our teachers develop individualised learning plans to support the needs of identified students in our care.
At Mary Immaculate, we strive to be at the forefront of learning, providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. We value constant improvement of our facilities and technology to ensure our students have access to the best possible education, including supporting opportunities for flexible learning spaces and outdoor learning experiences. Students use iPads to enhance learning in every classroom within the school, as well as TVs to share learning.
We understand that student learning and wellbeing go hand-in-hand in the healthy development of every child. We strive to provide a safe and caring environment, where the unique gifts and talents of the students are recognised and celebrated. Students participate in a variety of programs to assist with their social and emotional learning and wellbeing.
Mary Immaculate students take an active role in 'caring for our common home’. Pope Francis’ Laudato Si continues to inspire our school community to act to ensure that our already-beautiful school environment and all the wonders of creation are around for future generations. The school community is involved in a range of initiatives that empower our students to support the ongoing care of creation.
In keeping with Gospel values, no child is refused a Catholic education due to financial inability or difficulty. New or existing parents who find themselves in this situation are encouraged to discuss fee concessions with our school principal who will treat the situation with understanding, sensitivity and confidentiality.
